My name is Tomás. I was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland.
The modern-age equivalent of the viking, a charming blond Swedish nymph, came to Ireland and whisked me away to Stockholm, where we were married.
Then we made a little half-Irish, half-Swedish baby.
I now work in Stockholm, researching a premature ageing disease in children. My background is in biotechnology, and I am three-quarters of the way through a doctorate in Medical Science.
When not working I like to practise Brazlian Ju-jitsu and submission wrestling.
I have lived in Sweden since 2003, and in case you didn't know, dear reader, Sweden and its neighbour Norway, are the most beautiful countries in the world.
So I spend a lot of time outdoors, climbing, kayaking and hiking in Summer, skiing, skating and camping in Winter.
I write down about the good trips here, so I don't forget about them.
