Well that was a tough trip.

My legs are wrecked, my hands are a little torn up and my ears are almost sunburnt off my head, but safe home now with another notch on my bedpost. Definitely the toughest hike I've ever done, the snow was hip deep and soft and wet, and the trail was about as easy to find as wally (or willy I guess, for the Norweigans), but I got the first signature in the Trolltunga hut guestbook for 2010, hurray!

  1. Props Tomas! It's still very early in the season for the mountains. I was surprised that our signatures were in the first half dozen of the wee fjells we did at the weekend.

  2. Thanks Joe, although it was no plan of mine to have it so tough, I just never thought about it. In retrospect it's pretty obvious it would still be snowy at 1300 metres, but when I was looking at the weather outside my window in Stockholm I thought "Oh this'll be easy!".

Next time I'll try July or August...And I'll bring sunscreen (sitting here with a big bag of ice on my swollen head, no joke!).
